What Paint Can Do For a Home Interior.

I have been busy working on a whole house project, and here's a "before" photo to give you an idea.

I hope to soon have some photos of the progress being made.

This entire home has been painted in this color and other similar dark semi-gloss paints.  The "idea" was to match the wall color to the living room floor tile shown.  I KNOW that paint is the quickest fix, and most "bang for the buck", but every room that gets paint in this house, and every dark brown curtain panel that I take down surprises even me.  It gets more cheerful each day.

So, my advice for today is:  semi-gloss paint is for doors and trim.  Flat paint is for walls.
